Father, Lawrence Lindo (died April 1989), better known as Jack Ruby, was a Jamaican record producer and sound system operator, best known for his 1970s productions of artists such as Burning Spear! During his time, he was the only major Jamaican record producer not headquartered in Kingston. He ran the Jack Ruby Hi Fi sound system and is considered one of the best roots reggae producers of the 1970s, having established a distinctive sound, noted for the unique use of horn arrangements.
His son, who works under the name Jack Ruby Jr., is a deejay who has worked with a plethora of Ska and Reggae groups including The Toasters. Jack Ruby Jr., is also a seasoned music producer with several originally recorded songs. Most recent recording is an original song titles "Why You Worry"!
"People today are less faith driven. They worry too much about what they can't change and don't recognize and fight for the things they can. Sometimes when things don't look as clear as we want them to we tend to give up when we should be pushing forward. Basically, if we stay faithful and focused on Christ; no matter what the end result is... we will get through it!"
"When I wrote this song, I had no idea I would soon be stricken with kidney failure. Through this experience, I hope to connect with people who share the same circumstance... and show them that with God you can find joy no matter what your circumstance!"
