About CHAPTER

Mr. Sledge holds a degree in Marketing Communications and has a diverse background in Graphic Design, Branding, Advertising, Web Design, Business Development, Hospitality and Hotel Management, Retail Sales, Event Coordination, Audio/Video Production, Fashion Photography, Artist and Band Promotion, and Performance Entertainment.

Returning to school in 2015 at the age of 51 to complete his marketing degree, Brian realized that there were no affordable marketing systems in place specifically designed to support student entrepreneurs with essential services such as logo design, promotional ad design, and branding/brand management. As this idea developed, he recognized that these marketing and branding services could also significantly benefit entire communities, enhancing community engagement in the same way they support youth empowerment among student entrepreneurs. By the time he graduated in 2017, Brian had established the FIRST EVER nonprofit organization, CHAPTER Marketing, dedicated to outreach elevation, community enhancement, and youth empowerment through his Christ-centered values.

In 2019, Mr. Sledge began working as a substitute teacher at an elementary school in Florham Park, NJ. By 2021, he was invited to teach two fourth-grade classes his innovative technique for creating graphic novels and comic books. This collaboration resulted in 32 mini-digital comic books and three published graphic novels crafted by seven talented 4th-grade student-authors!
